MedSim has a number of patient simulators with which an illness, condition or complication can be recreated in a realistic manner. The high-fidelity simulators can be fully programmed to imitate a specific condition and react interactively to the treatment provided by the team of relief workers. Medical emergency scenarios such as cases of anaphylactic shock, acute myocardium infarct, severe trauma and amniotic fluid embolism can be simuated in great details. Improvements to the patient simulators are worked on in conjunction with the European Design Centre and the Technical University of Eindhoven.
